Ford Mustang Bound for SEMA Teased Again

Ford dropped another teaser of its SEMA bound Mustang today, with little more than the announcement that something big is going to be unveiled at the Las Vegas show.

Yesterday’s teaser hinted at the possibility of an EcoBoost powered Mustang, and today’s teaser does nothing to either confirm or deny this rumor. Showing the rear-quarter panel covered in what looks like mud, Ford is being very cryptic about this reveal. If it is in fact mud, that might suggest an off-road ready Mustang built specially for SEMA.

The connection could be made, although it is a big stretch, that it could be emulating a Ford truck by going-off road, suggesting it will also emulate the trucks with an EcoBoost V6 engine.

It could also be shredded tire debris rather than mud, showing off the power that will be sent to the rear wheels in the new Mustang.

If it does turn out to be an EcoBoost Mustang, it may be the six-cylinder powerplant that runs many of the brand’s F-Series trucks, which would mean 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque on tap. It could also be a smaller four-cylinder EcoBoost, offering fuel-efficient power.

Nothing is confirmed, all we know is that there is big announcement coming for Mustang at SEMA.
